My article on The Mighty

I was happy to have The Mighty publish an article of mine that had only previously appeared on my blog. (I have an in with the editor of this blog!) Hopefully, it will help get the word out about the novel. If you haven’t read it before, or even if you have and just want to join the conversation (if there is one!), check out  “My thoughts on interaction among people with disabilities” right here.

Working hard to get the word out about The Birth of Super Crip . . .

The novel is for readers young adult “and up,” so check it out for your teens or yourself! It has received some very nice reviews, including suggestions that it offers readers a better understanding of people with disabilities. Anyone with an interest in group orders, please contact me for potential discounts. Teachers can contact me for a free e-book copy to preview the novel for possible class use. If you like the book, please consider suggesting it to teachers or people with “youth groups,” book clubs, etc. Many thanks to Rocky Run YMCA for a mention in their recent newsletter, and The Mighty for running a recent article of mine and mentioning the novel.

A letter from Senator Thomas McGarrigle on The Birth of Super Crip

I was excited to receive a letter from Senator Thomas McGarrigle regarding The Birth of Super Crip in December. I’m guessing he saw the article in the Delaware County Times. I can only hope he’s correct in saying that the novel “will help young readers more readily appreciate and accept classmates and others with disabilities.”

Picture of the letter with official looking header visible; letter offers of congratulations and message that the novel will help young readers more readily appreciate and accept classmates and others with disabilities.

There’s now another option to find The Birth of Super Crip in paperback. I was happy to see the book is now available on Barnes & Noble. Of course, it’s still available on the Nook as well. Click here to check it out. (The novel should also now be available in paperback on various other sites, or will be very soon.)
